Tupac- "CHANGES"

Tupac's track “Changes” display a lot of vulgar voices to transcribe the social norms/discrimination towards African Americans. Tupac uses African American vernacular English to essentially transcribe political issues towards police brutality, racism, poverty and substance abuse to name a few. It's highly evident that Tupac’s tone is initially dejected in the first verse. This created a mood which displays a deficient towards changes In American society while presenting the African American community using dialect specific to African Americans, “ kill a nigga, he's a hero” “‘I made a G today,’ but you made it in a sleazy way” words such as “nigga”, “g” and “sleazy” are commonly used in African American dialect, this represents the African American community as a whole. Tupac uses this tone as a means to become aggressive as well, for example, “Cops give a damn about a negro Pull the trigger, kill a nigga, he's a hero” a direct line referring to the police using irony to harmonize with his advocation for change, while using the words “negro” and “nigga” to present himself as African American. The theme and content can heavily impact the community as Tupac voice and words are dominant not only to the African American community but also towards caucasian communities.
